That Southampton team that finished above us a couple of times and plenty were championing contained Steven Davis as a mainstay of its midfield.

If Koeman can turn Steven Davis into a more than decent midfielder then it wouldn't be unreasonable to say he could do with James McCarthy.

But yes, let's just sell him because he's not flavour of the month for some and because it's fun to play football stock market, you tragic gimps.

Davis is a better player
 
I must say, I dont really get the Mccarthy hate on here.

Every single player, pretty much, looked shot after their Martinez tutorial. I guess he was one who had experienced it before, but the collective team was bust.

Lets see what the boss thinks, then take stock.

Davis can pass forwards.

Davis is the only person in our country who can pass forward so that does make him stand out more than he should but I reiterate my point nonetheless. Even Coleman looks pissed off that he heads off to international duty and still has the useless crab giving him underhit square balls all over the show.
