As far as our centre mids go, in order of how much I don't want to lose them; Barry-Gueye-Davies-Besic-McCarthy-Cleverley-Gibson. The latter two can go if we're being honest about where we're headed.

Agreed, I cant see the latter buying into Koamens fitness requirements, however, i would like to seem them fully fit players and giving it the last hurrah, one can dream.

Not only that, he has been plagued with injuries this past eighteen months.

I seem to recall our season of 14/15 ticking along nicely until the middle of November, then Jimmy picked up a hamstring injury and everything went south over the next few months.

I think your memory's playing tricks on you. We started that season abysmally, at the time McCarthy got injured we'd won 4 of our 12 league games, been hammered in the league cup by Swansea and conceded 6 at home to Chelsea with him playing that defensive midfield role he apparently excels at.
