Ah well lads when he recovers from his groin injury we have that great sidewards and backwards passing to look forwards to nd the goal a season target he keeps up with - look in his first season he was brilliant speeding all over the pitch - now Guye does the job with ease and he paasses it forwars too - MaCarthys place is under threat anyway even if we had signed Sissoko so the statement from our club was laughable to the extreme I can only see MaCarthy when fit being on our bench anyway imo!!

McCarthy has shown he cant do the cm job, he is a dm and a dm only and on the evidence of what we have seen from Gana he isn't even as good as we originally thought at that. He is a steady bottom half of the prem player and I am being kind to him and giving him some benefit of the doubt based on his one good season in seven. People blaming Martinez for him being pants need to just accept that he wasn't that good when we first bought him and he hasn't improved at all. His first season was the anomaly in his career where he over performed and he hasn't looked the same player since.

McCarthy was never going to be sold until a replacement was signed first. The injury was an added complication.

In the next four months the manager may change his mind about the player or spend his time organising a replacement for January.
If fit , there will be no problem selling on James McCarthy , but I would not be so sure that he will leave.

One of the principal reasons we finished 11th the last two seasons.

Instead of using him as a vehicle to justify the non signing of sissoko he should have been hounded out of the door to palace on loan.

I reckon a Centre Midfield of McCarthy and Gana is the future. One can hold, whilst the other presses and vice-versa! That is the future

I believe you can still actively use a forum whilst still abstaining from forming opinions on things based on information you don't really know is true
