We will definitely see that at some point as Barry will need rested. I think it would work but it does put pressure on Barkley to create more from the centre.

I don't think it is. I know what your saying that if Gana goes McCarthy can stay and hold but it just doesn't work the other way round. I honestly believe that it is more likely to be Gana and Barkley as the midfield of the future. Ross is already putting himself about more and can see Koeman putting him back in place of Barry in games against the lesser teams to make the most of Ross running and passing from deep. If Barkley can continue to put the same effort in while learning how to play cm from Barry then we will have a very serious cm partnership. Hopefully Besic can put his injury problems behind him and act as cover and Davies has shown enough for me that he will become at least a decent premier league player given the chance to perform.

Heavy territory there Chico. I can understand why people feel that you should play for the country of your birth but life just isn't as straight forward as that.

I don't see how his choice could be considered sectarian even with a wide definition applied to it.

Of course similar arguments re sectarianism have been levelled at players choosing to play for Northern or Republic of Ireland. All nonsense in general like, you play for who ever you feel allegiance to most.
