Weve really missed him...
Have to say, although we were attacking well recently, an on form McCarthy dominates the centre and stops these counter attacks and recycles posession.
Barry has done well this season and Cleverley should be on the left in front of kone for me BUT id like to see McCarthy alongside Cleverley in the centre with Barkley further forward.
Think this may be how we shape up after we bring in a LW...or if barry is out.

When he is missing, you suddenly realise all the simple things he usually does to make the team better.
Exactly my point mate. If he plays, we win the last few games, I think. The counter attacks aren't nearly as effective against us with him in the side. Even if these counter attacks don't lead to a direct goal, they usually end up as a set-piece, so it's as good as!

He got injured right when he was finding form. Martinez allowed McCarthy to roam a bit and it worked to his benefit. We need him back in the side ASAP
He was poop before he got injured. Games were passing him by. We had terrible form before he got injured and continue to do so after. Let's not make him sound better than he is or make excuses for a flawed system.

Really? I thought he was boss against Bournemouth until he went off. He was winning possession all over the show. I'm convinced we would have won that game had he stayed on.
I do admit that his early season form was poor though, but imo, he was getting back to his best more recently.

We need a top class centre midfielder. Either a superstar deep lying playmaker who can "make us tick" and lead by example or a really tough box to box centre midfielder.
Vieira or Roy Keane in the centre alongside Barkley and McCarthy would be insane.

That was one hour of one game. Ffs Naismith scored a Hat trick against Chelsea and people are happy enough to ignore that when he's playing bobbins.
