Used to like him but realised he doesn't offer enough on the field and his attitude towards us with regards to representing his country even when injured was a disgrace, so I'll be happy to see the back of him!
I would not write off McCarthy just yet.
When fit , his aggressive style in our midfield offers something that the others do not.
It may be that he is for sale, or it may be the manager is being cautious and slowly bringing him up to full fitness rather than throwing him in too early.
I think he may well play a big part under RK. I think the manager likes him as a player.
I think McCarthy has not helped himself by turning up for international games only half fit , but at least he seems to have learned that lesson.
Besic however I think may be sold or possibly loaned.
It would not surprise me totally if Barry also leaves before the end of the window.
As with most managers at most clubs there are probably a couple of players whose future are not fully decided one way or the other when players come back for pre season.
