Yes totally agree, some fans expect players to be back to their best straight away after a long injury it probably takes a month or so, Bolasie is getting stuck too he had an aw full injury and we have to be careful with him for quite a while.

Back to his best? Hes been crap for years when he has not been 'injured'.
Klopp said about sturridge once " he needs to learn what is an injury and what is only pain."
Playing with a small knock is normal and the majority of footballers get on with it. Then there is a small minority who constantly rule themselves out and declare themselves unfit and unavailable for selection. My hamstring hurts oh its my knee got the flu my eggs were overcooked etc.
I suspect mccarthy is in this minority camp as someone else said he is a wage thief and needs to be got rid of .

You suspect, you don't know. I do though feel this is his last chance to impress so we shall see in the coming weeks what's he's made of. To early to judge him yet when he's just come back.

Hmm, on the one hand I guess this is sort of true, Bainesy played for a good year or two with that ankle knock didn't he? That led to him having two six month periods out for surgery.. But with the medical team nowadays can a player really rule himself out?
 

Done more than most of the team since he’s came on but fully expect him to be injured for the next few weeks after this match.
