But you don’t buy players to sell, yes if you buy young you have a better chance of getting most of your money back on a flop or getting top dollar for a superstar.
But if you are buying say 3 youngsters every summer and selling your best player , then it’s a never ending project.
The beauty of Carlo is he changes formation to suit the players so if he got Hameth, he would play him in his best position, like what he did with changing the formation at AC Milan to play Kaka.

Thats fine and I do get that. But I said the other day. Once you hire Ancelotti abd his team and potentially pay out a 100mil in salaries over thev4.5yr contract. The goal post will have slightly changed. Abd tyats why I can see at leat 2 players bought this summer aged 26/29Brands mission statement when he joined gave s definite outline of his ideas on transfers. When you get s minute look it up.This I'd one of his quotes when Silva signed
"He’s a guy who has proved already that he wants to work with young players, make them better and he has performed very well with the teams he’s worked with. He will be a very good manager for Everton."
Sadly that didn't happen but he seems to be more interested in younger players rather than the Rodriguez type.

May well be the case that Ancelotti will get the players he wants whatever their age,so Brands in effect is redundant and just another salary to cut.Thats fine and I do get that. The name at the top of the list this transfer window...
James Rodriquez.

Brands is not just here For this season or the next 3. He also has a load of other issues to sort out at the club. Especially the academy and getting the players out on loan, at an early age. And to the right clubsMay well be the case that Ancelotti will get the players he wants whatever their age,so Brands in effect is redundant and just another salary to cut.
Problem is Brands can't move on players who dig their heels in to see out their contacts, and young players can be offered on loan but it's up to other teams to take them . So really Brands is becoming more of a waste of an office now that Silva isn't here needing guidence. Ancelotti knows the game inside out and players will be attracted to the club to play under him.Brands is not just here For this season or the next 3. And getting all the age groups playing the same as the first team.
I think that was Moshiri and Brands’s long term plan. And probably still will be, to buy young and and build a conveyer belt of young brilliant players.
But so far things haven’t gone to plan and when a manager of Ancelotti’s stature comes on the market, Moshiri has gone for it and imo quite rightly too.
So things will probably go slightly of track for a couple of years. And I agree with that.
No point hiring Ancelotti if you’re not going to back him and give him one or two of the players he wants
