You could argue Ibra, Pogba definitely not, half the reason he came to United was for his "brand," Veron and Ballack were pre-social media and just a general different age for the global connectivity of the internet so I'd say no to those.

Pogba was honestly the highest profile, hyped up PL transfer I can remember in this country, it was absolutely huge.

I’m someone who doesn’t pay much heed to social media and the profile of Veron and Ballack as players was higher than James Rodriguez is. I’m not poo pooing the transfer at all I’m just being honest.
