Their attack is the definition of lackluster. They have no creativity and no ideas. 6 goals from 5 games with 3 of the goals coming from 1 game againnst a 10 man team. People try to defend Zidane's position because he has won titles but he messed up. There is a world where a coach can win titles and still make some bad decisions.
Zidane's insistence in the old guard has cost them James, Morata, Bale, Regulion, Hakimi, Ceballos, Llorente, among others. Right now, they could use a lot of what James provides. But they gave him away because he was simply not wanted

Issue is if we get pegged back he's in a very crowded area of the pitch. He isn't going to drive 30 yards with the ball and he's so adept at finding space drifting in from the right.
But we have options.
Absolute privilege watching this fella.

Too bad then. The refs there then need to lighten up a bit. Soccer is about those little joys that a match can generate. Even silly acts like this one.
Even at this stage of the season, I think he's done superb to put in the amount of minutes he has. I thought we might have to gently ease him in but he's had to put in some hard yards already.
He looks a team player as well, they all look like they are working for each other. Team chemistry is absolutely vital and it's the one thing that's been missing for far too many years.
I think it was the West Ham game in the league Cup but I was sitting down and without realising it, I was right on the edge of the couch when the ball came to him. How many players have we had where you automatically think "somethings gonna happen here".
Immense player and like you say, an absolute privilege to have him playing for us.

Said in work today. Now we've no Richarlison i worry about our next three games, but when you have James in your team you always have a chance as his vision is sublime. We've been so good becasue we've had a big threat across the front three, with them not able to double up on them because it's not just one player, it's three. A bit like Liverpool have benefitted from having real quality across the attack in the same way.
Hopefully, we still have a regular threat without Richy.

Deffo mate. Richarlison is a big loss not just beciase of his threat up top but defensively he's absolutely superb and helps Digne out.
We've got a few options available, Iwobi, Bernard, Gordon & Nkounkou can all come in. It will be up to one of them to grab the opportunity with both hands.
My personal opinion though.... just give the ball to Rodriguez and let him single handedly win us the next 3 games on his own
