Imagine going from playing through balls like that to the likes of Lewandowski & Benzema and seeing them finish them time and time again, to playing balls to likes of Sigurdsson to watch him hit it straight at the keeper. Lad must be thinking why did I come here lol

Judging by the last two games I think not. He must wish he could tackle, then he could join in the whole game.

Love his vision and his skills, but what is going on when every other player feels obliged to give it to him if he is within five metres of them? Just do your own job and you might even create some space for James to do an even better one.

Many people on here imagine James is far better than he is. He has great qualities and real deficiencies for this league.

I think that had more to do with the back 4 we've used instead of playing Iwobi and Delph as full backs

No blame attached, it’s a formation change that James could flourish in but he has to displace Gylfi on form.

Iwobi has earned a place and that’s fair play. I’d like to see him replace Sigurdsson with a bit of a creative central role.

I just don't think James needs to displace Siggurdson. There is literally nothing that Gilfy does better, including defending.

I am happy Gilfy came through in these past 2 games. But let's not forget 3 years of disappointment over a 2 match stretch where the entire team gutted 2 wins.

I get that but you can’t drop a player who is in form. Gylfi and Iwobi have earned a jersey and it’s a nice problem for Carlo.

Gylfi’s current role is made for James. He was never going to play every match but come the big games I want James in the team.

I personaly wouldnt change a winning side. Ancelloti could easly tell james he's going to ease him back in from the bench. And everyone in the last two games has earned the right to start the next game.
Sends out a bad message if you come in, do well, and then lose your place.

That's some Everton fans for you mate, Sigurdsson has 2 decent games and for some reason he becomes irreplaceable, even if the player he would have to stand aside for was James.
