Loved the interview. I wonder if they put this out because people were wondering where he's been.
A few key points for me.
- He really misses champions league, I can feel that the team has the quality to get into the champions league next season. Maybe he's a bit naive and doesn't know the prem or Everton
but he had no hesitation saying he hopes we're playing in it, and he's 30, he doesn't have time to miss out this season.- Carlo is easy going - we kinda knew this. But I think he wanted to say that Carlo treats everyone like adults. He had to tiptoe around this, at one point he's quite honest about what other clubs thought of him and said that other clubs didn't believe in him, but he's happy here, because we did.
- Rumors about him going out living it up when he was injured at Real, were of course meant to smear his character. Didn't seem like he'd be the type given how he has kids and he says he just goes to play football and goes home and the pandemic situation hasn't really affected him that much.
Anyways mostly softball questions - but I really enjoyed the interview, and I can't believe its been so long since we saw him tear it up in the first four games of the season. Now that's he's had a few months to adjust, hopefully we see another burst of magic from him.
