Even at the start of the season he was playing the same way as he is now. Moments of class but rarely running the game. West Brom and Brighton probably being the exception.

We should always try and get him in the team because of his quality but there are huge issues around his ability to get round the pitch. That's why he plays for Everton and not a team in the Champions League.

He needs better players around him to afford him the space. He’s not a Yaya Toure type that will dominate a game but he’s a player that when it matters will 9 times out of 10 make the right pass or right shot or right set piece.

100% they give him the ball in awkward positions then no one moves for him.

I'd be inclined to agree. Just frustrating how many players we've said this about over the years. He does have to improve his ability to get around the pitch though. It's really poor.

Where do you want him to be? He needs to be in their half, around the centre attacking mid and inside right area, that’s it. Rest of the team need to make the runs and keep people off him. That left foot is a wand and he doesn’t need to run more to be devastating with it. We’re completely wasting him.

It’s not like he ran around any more at his previous clubs to demand world record fees.

Easily marked because he's our only player that does anything. Mark him and then just wait for every other Everton player to run away from the ball or mispass the ball to you.
