He's certainly a passenger off the ball. His ability on the ball means he's still a good player.

That's still a passenger though. He will need players to do his running for him and his inability to run will cost us when those players aren't there.

When you have Gomes, Coleman, Davies, James and Digne in the same side, you're starting at a huge disadvantage physically. We need a quick mobile right back and another mobile midfielder to properly accommodate James.

I'm not sure about him in a solely central position in English football to be honest. A midfield of James, Doucoure and Allan isn't the most mobile or pacy at all and can definitely be overwhelmed. It's essentially a 2.

I'd rather he came off the right and wandered where he likes and we compensated for it with another quick midfielder and right back than give up the midfield in certain games.

James is always disadvantaged when Gomes and Davies both play as they cant tackle with conviction and neither retain possession well. The midfield play is messy and more miss than hit as a result. Gomes's passing had at least improved today at times... but its a disgrace that Im even referring to that in professional players. Ill be glad when we get Allan back functioning with Doucoure and hopefully see James back sharp to take the taste of todays rancid performance away

Only player who hits that pass for the second goal we have in the team. He’s in the team to create which is what he has done again today.

Now if we didn’t have a team of crabs around him who can’t move, he would easily have 20 assists if not more this season.

He was in our half often, even took that ball to the face ib our own half

What he doesn't do is run fast. He is indeed a liability in a counter by the opposition's left back because he won't catch up. But the rest of the time he runs back and defends
