People crap on Leeds because they aren't running away with the league but the movement those players have off the ball is such a stark contrast to what ours do. It's basic football, pass the ball and move to get in to position to be able to receive it. We have the most static team in the league and I'm almost certain it's not even hyperbole.

Point being James kind of needs people to move to really affect the game more than he does now.
Yep, to a tee. It's why we are lucky to have 1 shot at goal each game. Too easy to play against as we have no width and no movement to drag the central area around.

Fulham had wide men with chalk on their boots tonight, dragged massive holes in our team as the slugs in midfield had to keep moving to help cover.

If Leeds and Fulham had good quality strikers they would have so many more points on the board. That quick, fast paced, 1 touch football is the hardest to defend against and they both do it very well.

We like to get our feet warm by playing passing drills between the defence and GK, letting the midfielders join in every now and then.

On James, has to start over the others (Gylfi, Gomes) due to his ability and creativity. None of them can defend, are all slow and quite weak but only 1 produces. Gylfi is an absolute myth

James plays well when we have runners. All our exciting performances early season came when he was whipping the ball out to Digne and Richarlison with Allan and Doucoure doing all the hard work.
Today we had no width and Digne barely got forward so James had no one to play with. Then we took off Davies and Coleman who were the only players trying to drive the team forward, I’m not surprised he looked like he basically took himself off, awful team display

Our best performance was Spurs away when he started. Our best attacking performance was against WBA when he played.

Since then we've become a negative defensive side and thus he's not having as much impact
We went toe to toe with a good RS side (even including their recent wobbles they're probably no worse than the 5th best team in the league) and James was probably the best player on the pitch for us on that day.

The second part is the truth and imo going to hold us back.

Worst thing for me is on multiple replays of the challenge on him that caused him to moan on the floor, limp around, then subsequently leave the field via substitution... I actually didn't even see any contact, if there was any it was marginal. And there is a good chance he will no doubt now miss 1 or 2 games.

Just doesn't fancy it 95% of the time when the game is fast and physical.

I stand by my opinion that his defensive work and pressing is an absolute myth too. He does this little thing from time to time where he runs towards a defender with a short burst that resembles someone running in quicksand, knowing full well he's never getting to it and then looks back and throws his arms up having left a huge gap behind himself and running himself out of the game.

I will be honest, I'm going off him fast, give me a someone with half the natural ability and 5x the work rate like Pienaar any day of the week.

And seems the mask is slipping for our boy James more and more every week at the moment.

Definitely agree with this. I, like many, saw him as our robinho signing. However as each appearance passes its becoming apparent why he has dropped so quickly from the heights of real madrid.

No work rate, absolutely no pace and unfortunately and most surprisingly doesnt seem to have it in his locker to take the game by the neck.

And likes to blag an injury to because he doesnt fancy it.. minimal if any contact when he went off tonight. Raises the question again where he got to in December!

Players know when someone is injured. The worst part tonight was that play continued because the other 21 players knew there was nothing in it. He has real moments of quality and some of his passing is unreal. However, those fleeting moments do not make up for his lack of athleticism and lack of desire.
