Carlo is hurting him. He needs to drop Sigurdsson (indefinitely). You never play James with Sig or Gomes, it’s so obvious.
I mean I’d never play Gomes or Sig ever, but yanno.
Allow James to have players running ahead of him, and he will show what we all know he’s capable of doing.
He’s a world class footballer, playing with slugs surrounding him will not help his game or more importantly our game.
He must be so frustrated.

If he played at City he would look twice the player he is here, even for that lot across Stanley Park,can you imagine Salah/Mane with him supplying the through balls?I think if he is managed/utilised correctly he can still be a massive player for us, his best work as has been mentioned has to be in the No:10 role, but in and around the final third, not the first third!!

It’s off-season at the moment. Season wrapped up in December. Pretty sure it was all behind closed doors for them, but we have seen other sports here where limited capacity is allowed. That’s happening now with college basketball. Ultimately the states are providing the restriction requirements so it varies.

Quite astonished was I to read something negative abut an Everton player in the national media just before a derby.
Every time it happens, and before any real explanation is heard, the fickle fans become vitriolic about their own club/players. Works like a charm for the red infested media and suits their propaganda agenda effortlessly. Gits!
What you get with James is world class creativity. However you have to accept that he wont chase back, or have any form of work rate.
Therefore you have to build a team around him to accommodate his lack of work rate or ability to perform any defensive duties.
All the other 9 outfield players must put on a shift , the midfield must be mobile, aggressive and pacy and assuming that he starts at RW and drifts the RB must be defensively strong .
Now all that is fine if he has a good fitness record and plays 80/90 % of the matches.
However if he is only available for half your games it is a big ask to build your whole team around him.
I've got a feeling that he wont be here for long so enjoy his talent whilst you can.
