Literally nothing to support this but yeah, his calf problem which has been a problem for about five years is because he doesn’t enjoy the Merseyside drizzle.
He plays about 20-25 games a season and is a wizard in about 10-15 of them. His quality is the reason we took 4 points off the RS this season which we haven’t done for years and he contributed to plenty of other wins too.
We need more players like him so we’re not crap when he’s not available, not to be getting rid of quality!
Stick him on the bench on Saturday and use him if the game is tight in the last quarter.
Otherwise, get him through a mini preseason over the next 3 weeks so he's ready for the last 10 games. The aim should be for him to start 6 or 7 of those.

Yep I think Carlo might roll the dice with him against City knowing that he can rest him afterwards. Would be good if Allan and him can come through the City game unscathed as they then both have a break and we can hopefully get them 100% fit for the run in.

Other than it being held in Colombia, I don't think he would put a made up copa ahead of his professional career.
He has missed plenty of matches for Colombia, including in the 2018 WC where he barely played.

The usual bell saying he’s cross that James isn’t playing and indicating it’s because he doesn’t want to rather than a fitness issue.
I have no problem with frustration that he’s not fit, because we all want to see him every game, but it’s this ‘fair weather player’ ‘not up for a challenge’ ‘would rather play PlayStation’ nonsense that really winds me up. I see more fight and determination from him when he’s on the pitch than most of our players, he’s a winner!
