The thing about James is if he is not playing well you can almost always put it down to lack of effort (well, when he is being serviced with the ball) because his talent is undoubted. With the rest of the team, well, I'm sure they all do their best...

I thought he did his best. The only one who picked a pass out when he got space. He must look at Iwobi and think you wouldn't stand out in the Spanish 3rd division.

He literally put in a better defensive performance than the tit who was supposed to doing it more.

Brighton should be embarrassed that they didn't win a game against a side with Davies and Gylfi as the cm pairing

Looked up for it, was trying to get the team going but needs people making runs ahead of him and we had none. Realistically you can’t pack a team with 6 defenders, Tom Davies, none of whom will make a run ahead of the ball or get into the box and expect to hoof it to James, sit back and wait for him to work some magic. It’s not going to work. Can’t fault his effort tonight, some better players around him in a more balanced team and he’s got skills that are very hard to come by.
