I only watched second half - I thought Arsenal were very good at their setup off the ball, denied James a lot of options and James had to play it safe many times. They did not let him have the ball around the box second half.

Was awful yesterday but we won and he's usually superb so no problem.
Still annoyed that we only did half a job with recruitment last summer and it's forced James to play countless games alongside Davies, Iwobi, Sigurdsson and Gomes. That surely wasn't in the plan, but it seems the plan was to create a good first xi and pray for no injuries whatsoever, which was never going to happen.
I hope we can plug the gaps this summer and see him in a genuinely good xi for most of next season, then we can have dreams of top four.

Seemed like he got annoyed with how it was going last night and dropped too deep in order to get on the ball, taking himself out of the game in the process

It's not down to him it the way Carlo set the midfield up from his selection and putting Delph on was pathetic ...
I diverse, our most creative star player never got a sniif in any part of the game the set up in midfield was so dire so sad to say ........
Genuinely don't recall but was in a bar and tv was in background so didn't notice just the 2 in a row from Sigurdsson and Digne.

Honestly despite him having an "off night" the sheer confidence and ability he has to look forward and try to find a teammate with something other than three sideways passes is a credit.
I think when Allan plays alongside him, it encourages him too to play forward.

I actually expected Delph to do a lot worse, so the fact that we didn't concede is a surprise. Still makes me uncomfortable when he's on though, because he doesn't help much going forward and slows things down (maybe that's good when we're up). Also expected Delph to not make it thru the game, so at least he survived. The bar is pretty low for him.
We had a pretty attacking lineup yesterday - there was just no cohesion. I think Tom Davies in instead of Gomes would have been the better option, especially if you're going to play Sig, Richarlison, James and DCL all in the one lineup.
