Yep im the same - even if he stayed I would only have him off the bench - replace him with a box to box midfielder and a pacey RW who can chip in with goals and the starting 11 is stronger and more reliable imo.

He's a great player but his lack of pace/stamina and his injury record means we simply can not build a side around him.

If he's happy to stay as a super sub by all means extend his contract but I dont think he'll stick around.

Think it was also poor form not attending the lap of honour to at least greet the fans there who have been desperate to see him in person.

I've been saying this for a long time. When he plays, he operates like a good old-fashioned No. 10, and our entire game is centered around him. Sometimes it works, but all too often it is too easy for the opponent to take JR out of the match. In practice, the opponent then takes out the entire team.
