Some absolutely pathetic comments in here over the last few months and guess what, the player who has been repeatedly injured and not managed 30 games in a season for about a decade was truly injured after all, wow.
We all knew this when we signed him, especially Carlo who I assume is glad to get about 25 odd games out of him because he’s so much better than our other options.
Yes if we’d have had him play every game we might have got into Europe but this was never going to happen and god knows where we’re have finished if we’d not had him at all!

I was thinking about this and I believe in comparison with our peers we will have less players involved in the international tournaments this summer. Whether we are able to take advantage of this is another thing.

He was injured and still is. Why does anyone need to apologize? Maybe except whoever characterized his injury as fatigue and set off this controversy in the first place.

If his problem were fatigue two weeks ago - he'd be playing for Colombia next week.

The guy is gutted because he's lost both the close to Everton's season AND now his chance to help Colombia turn it's WCQ campaign (which is a disaster given the quality in the side).

So confused by the comments here.

Ancelotti said he was fatigued. He didn't say that without reason. I think he knows he's been swinging the lead at times this season.

I dont expect to see him back at Everton. We can do better than him.
 
A good thing for us really.

He needs the full summer to rest and recuperate.

Even more strange that he couldn't be arsed to turn up to the Wolves game.

In my time, we’ve arguably done better than him 3 times - Southall, Kanchelskis and teenage Rooney. Nobody else has been world class and played for us since I watched football.
