The new manager won't indulge him - and that's fine by me. At a time when we need maximum application from our players - and coaching staff - then we can't be setting a precedent that undermines work ethic and commitment to the cause. With Carlo gone, the structure isn't there for James anymore. He's a relic of the old, departed and now discredited regime.

Steve, you do realise how agents work, right? They tout their clients to clubs all the time. Some agents are worse than others for it (see Mendes and Raoila) but it's a generally acceptable part of the modern game.

I didn’t think James was for sale therefore as an Evertonian who’d prefer it if he didn’t leave I’m a bit miffed as I’d assume James wants out if he’s allowed his agent to do this.

Agents rule the roost Steve, if the player moves frequently the agent makes big bucks on the back of it, they don't care if the player is tied up on a long term contract. Absolutely no loyalty in football now whatsoever, Ancelotti is a perfect example, his agent will be getting fat on the back of him.
