I hope this situation hasn’t turned into utter Özil now.

But if our recent promising form is somehow depending on keeping James out of the squad, then that’s a correct call by the manager.

Don't be fooled by the results.. so far wey just did the same vs them from last season and if looking by the numbers, we are already behind compared to last season...

I just think he’s too used to behaving like a spoiled child and getting his own way. Does too much talking on his twitch channel and clearly wanted to leave during the window. You’re putting a lot of blame on the club but even the national team chased him over the summer. To add to that, when you have Tino Asprilla saying you’re in the last chance saloon then there’s a chance you’ve got problems.


True star quality is unfortunately rare these days.

I agree that James at times talks more than he should on Twitch and at time he does behave like a spoiled child but it is up to a parent to correct such behavior. My blame on the Club is that you don't allow your spoiled child to do whatever they please. At times you have to say no and that's where Everton have gone wrong. They should have say no when he asked to leave early and they should have say no about him discussing the club on social media. The parent has to set the rules and expectations for a kid otherwise the spoiled child could become a rotten child.

Burnley will be a good barometer of that but Saints tried to sit back and hold a lead and we utterly battered them after halftime. You'd think that would be the big obstacle for this direct style but the first time it was not.
