Ah, a member who joined the week benitez signed wants us to forget about the previous manager and the most talented player we have had in years......
There is a smelly little hoard all very happy with the news isn't there.

That said this is peak, Everton.

On the funny banter scale, it's only topped in recent history by the mutants fluking the VAR Asterix title, in front of absolutely no one; them crying that it wasn't fair that Pickford didn't get arrested, and the bedwetting because City had taken it back before they were allowed out to celebrate lol

Farewell Hamez, you got under their skin in ways not seen since Shankley saw the light and chose to spend his time at GP with decent people, and a proper club.

RYAW ?

MEGA COYB

So sack Benitez who comes in mate who'll magically make everything so much brighter?

I ask this question and never get an answer because there isn't one.

People are angry because Carlo had taken them for a ride and we only spent pennies this summer because of our DOF has wasted millions on garbage over the years.

Benitez is like a stress ball for you all only once you take a step back and realise that can you come to accept he's our manager, there isn't anyone any better who wants the job so back him or be miserable.

We interviewed plenty of other managers and made the wrong choice. A choice that has split the fanbase and forced out our best player.

The time to pick someone else was in the summer when there were other options available such as Nuno or even Potter.

It is a matter of waiting until he gets the sack. That's all.

look it didn't work out

but there was something exciting about signing him, when he was playing well (which wasn't too often), he could give matches that Magico which makes football worth watching

You ought to be embarrassed by that observation
And why is that pal?

I am embarrassed, but for the club and not myself personally.

We have booted out arguably our best player from last season and replaced him with a journeyman striker from China. It is embarrassing and that's before we even get to the fact we have hired a fella who called us a small club.

You’ve been told on multiple occasions that a bang average non-kopite manager could come in and do what Benitez will achieve - and would be unlikely to bring Salomon Rondon along with him.

Any new Manager would have inherited RB cash flow problems..,...DOF position has been a disastrous decision.....

Lorks a-Lordy, that was abrupt. Showed some real class for us but overall I’m indifferent to his leaving. He was a passenger at times last year and even notwithstanding that he wasn’t getting a sniff this year regardless. Ultimately the move helps our accounts and that’s the focus at the moment, seemingly.

We just can’t have nice things.

Because the reason the players you mentioned were signed was because we couldn't spend much due to, including other things, the high wage bill.

Everton Director of Medical Danny Donachie says James Rodriguez was on course to be fully fit for the start of Colombia’s Copa America campaign.

Midfielder James has been left out of his country’s 24-man squad for the tournament next month and preceding World Cup qualifying matches against Peru and Argentina.

Although James missed the final two games of Everton’s Premier League campaign due to the recurrence of a calf injury, Donachie said he had no concerns over the player’s fitness and he could have played some part in his country’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

But, after "good communications" between Everton and Colombia’s medical departments, it was decided it was safer to wait for the start of the Copa America, so James could complete his rehabilitation.

The South American tournament is due to start on 13 June, providing a replacement host is arranged following a coronavirus surge in Argentina.

James joined Everton from Real Madrid on the eve of 2020/21 and in his debut Goodison Park campaign played 26 matches – starting 24.

He scored six goals and provided nine assists for Carlo Ancelotti’s team before the minor calf problem ended his season early.

“It was a very small injury at the end of the season and we had no issues at all with James joining up with Colombia,” Donachie told evertonfc.com.

“He was hoping to play in the two qualifiers [on June 4 and 9] and the only discussion we had with the Colombian FA was whether that was a good idea, or whether it would be more prudent to prepare him for the tournament.
We decided collectively it would be better for him not to play in the two World Cup matches, then he would be absolutely ready for the start of the Copa America and able to play the entire tournament without any issues.

“I have seen the tests carried out by Colombia and there is nothing in them to say he is not going to be fit for that competition. We agreed he would be fully fit, without any questions, for the start of the Copa America.

“We spoke about his rehab and they agreed to continue the process but there was never a doubt in our mind he would be in top condition in time for the tournament.”

Yeah do you remember how many games he missed due to that 'very small injury'?

Load of balls. He missed games for Everton to lounge around so he'd be fit for Colombia, is what it is. It was hilarious when it came back to bite him on the arse when Colombia - rightfully - told him to do one.
