You wrote - "I don't care what anyone says. I like him and if he goes it will be as disappointing for me as when Bobby Collins left".
Unless my command of English is bad, you are saying that you like Rodriguez, and the departure of Rodriguez will be as disappointing to you as the departure of Collins undoubtedly was. i.e. you are comparing the potential loss of Rodriguez to that of the great Collins. Therein lies the insult by comparing the great Collins with Rodriguez who has done very little to the Everton cause.
Maybe you think he could become as great as Collins?
You've missed the context of what I'm saying. Do you not understand that I'm expressing how disappointed I was when Collins left?
That of all the players who've left Everton since Bobby left, he was the one who I felt the worst about. How is that insulting?

I'm not comparing Rodriguez to Collins. I'm saying that I will be extremely disappointed if he goes because I think he's one of the most exciting players I've seen and I'm hoping to him to see him play in a packed out Goodison Park.

If that happened, and it doesn't seem likely unfortunately, I'd hope get as much enjoyment from him as I got from Bobby.

I was bitterly upset when Davy Hickson left, but I'm not comparing him to anybody.

I think they will try everything they can to move him on. However if he does end up staying I think he'll definitely get on the bench if fit and will probably force his way into the reckoning for some games. If he goes we need a RF in as Townsend is the only player in the squad who wants to play there. I hope no one comes in and he ends up playing a role.

He’d be gone already if he’d take a wage cut. He’s rotting away playing video games because the clubs that have come in for him can’t afford his wages.
Let him sit home for a season and see what that does to his value. Then he can walk. Rather that than pay Sevilla or Milan €100k a week to get him off our hands.
