We can't have someone on his wages playing minimally, or not at all.

Hopefully there will be an offer for him but I fear we will end up part-subsidising his wages, in order to facilitate a deal.

That's a really bad scenario, when we need to scrape every penny together.

Don’t mind RB putting him in the doghouse. Kean either. Show him he’s not bigger than the club, no one is.

Both of them should realize they’re not getting any other takers so they’d better get on with it here, and he’s not having any diva crap

That’s good. Carlo indulged the big names.

You're making the mistake of thinking that Everton aren't also desperate to get James to leave because we can't afford his wages because we're paying Fabian Delph £100k a week, mate

No Evertonian should be turning their nose up at having James on the books when compared to our current options.

He'll probably go, and it'll be a huge shame. Not the end of the world, but a shame.

The shouting for downgrading of ballers to grocks is just depressing.

It’s all about ensuring Premier League status and the new stadium now.
I can understand the frustration with James' comments/injuries and clearly he would be happy to move on.

But it doesn't make him the bad guy either. The club are equally as keen to get his wages off the books (like Juve with Ronaldo), but whereas Juve do have a team capable of winning a title without Ronaldo, you'd imagine, we have Iwobi, Townsend and... who else who plays in an attacking mid role?

If James stays, then he should be embraced. Not molly coddled, just used right because he's a difference-maker - and we saw that last season.

Seems like James wants out. Rafael is sensibly focusing on the players who want to play for Everton. Once the window shuts, if James is still here I think we'll see him on the pitch and whether he's playing for a January move or resigned to staying for the season, I expect he'll put a shift in.

I am all for finding a place for James. A genuine game changer and not as if we are flush with them.

I cant understand that. A model professional like him?
Harsh

He's what 30 and I don't recall ever seeing anyone question his professionalism ( could be wrong ) until Rafael come in and told him he's not wanted and find a club, I'd be annoyed as well if I got told I'm not wanted when he's seeing the state of the squad we have.

Dunno, when he went missed at the end of the season, got rested for being tired and sent photos from the PJ back home before the season was over a few eyes brows were raised (and I don’t mean Carlos)
Think his signing was based on a gamble that Ancelotti would get us into Europe that has spectacularly backfired.
Pretty certain if we’d finished higher, getting more money for placement and got Europe (plus the pig farmer hadn’t cleared off) we’d be spending more of the Mosh’s money right now and talking about triggering James 1y option.

IF Mbappe goes to Madrid (I still think it's unlikely PSG will fold), and we lose Richarlison, and we lose James, then I hope you're all happy when Dwight McNeil and Neal Maupay rock up.
Don't think anyone would be happy with that.

James is irrelevant to whether or not Richarlison goes though. Whether one goes has no effect on the other. Although losing Richarlison would be 10x worse than losing James.

Was I happy about the end of last season? Absolutely not, BUT, that's down to piss poor management from Carlo that. He let him get away with murder, I doubt Rodriquez just went right off off for a bit I'm tired, he was allowed to do so by that fat pig Carlo

Losing both of them would be really bad though, wouldn’t it
