2024/25 James Tarkowski

In very much a season of two halves, mr consistent can feel hard done by for picking up a very time sensitive injury. Has played through minor injury when called upon and done so without so much as a grimace. When we were fighting for draws we had him so reliable, If push comes to shove I'd sub him on for the final 30 seconds of the game vs southampton and he can stand on the half way line. It is important the crowd get to thank him at Goodison one last time. Doucoure is often cited for a relegation defier (rightly) so this was in the scheme of it similarly important.

Yikes. It’s a worry when someone who never misses a game gets a bad hamstring injury.
We need to sign a really good CB in the summer, (and 2 if JB leaves), as I imagine they will get a fair few games.

Yeah he's 33 early next season so not ideal to be getting a bad hamstring injury, it's the type of thing that can lead to a player just totally falling off a cliff. Hopefully it's not that bad for him but it's something you'd hope the club are conscious of.

A real shame... despite a few wobbles, he's one of our most consistent performers while he's been with us. I'm just glad it's happened now we're safe and not earlier in the season when we were desperate for points.

It's an opportunity to see how Branthwaite and O'Brien get on in the middle. Keane can get in the bin.

Totally gutted. His goal against the RS, his leadership, his rock-solid defending, even his raking cross field passes - the man has been immense for us.

I thought he was indestructible, but it sounds like we need to be looking for a successor sooner rather than later.
