Would be amazing. Newspapers say United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all interested. Quite the fight we'd have on our hands.
 

It seems to me back up for kev is most important or another wide man of a similar quality. When we lose him the team just isn't the same. Geads Peanut and Atsu just aren't up to his standard. Every other position is covered with decent stand ins except maybe right back.

However, not sure who the answer is?

Cheap, known to the manager and can play across the midfield. And apparently got potential when playing regulary.

But yeah, we aren't signing some top talent in january but a lad that possibly covers Osman Piennar McCarthy and Barkley in the squad is worth spending a million or two on.

Remember he is no worse than Osman now.

He's also no better than Osman. Both bring different things to the team but overall there's no upgrade with cleverly.

Same as McGeady though. He isnt better than anything we have but we brought him in to do a job. Personal opinions aside he was good business for around a million for a competant winger and paying 2 for a midfielder 10 years younger than osman but can cover roles like he does is still a no brainer.

Remember Ferguson played cleverly on the way to the title. He can't be that bad of a player.
