I know a lot (including me) have wanted a winger in as a priority but after last nights performance (and many others this season) I would prefer us to get somebody in for defence.
Although we miss a lot of chances we still manage to score quite regularly.
The real problem I believe this season is all the silly and annoying mistakes at the back. We seem to be struggling to keep clean sheets and give away very cheap goals almost every game.
I don't know if it is because we are too busy playing tiki taka or whether it just comes down to complacency but somehow it needs to be addressed.
Maybe the return of Stones will help?
Maybe the lads in defence just need to practice more in training?
Maybe a new CB will tighten things up?
I believe we should bring in somebody experienced to "steady the ship" but would somebody like Davies or Kjaer be the answer?
Surely it's worth a try.
Then we can look at other areas either in January or the summer like GK, LW and CF

To flog a dead horse and to play the broken record the problem lies with Distin. Not saying everyhting is his fault, but he has become suspect this season, lost pace, decision making is poorer and has cost us a few goals this season. The priority is signing a centre half sure but they have to be replacing stones not distin. Stones in my eyes has to be first choice now when fit and in time galloway hopefully steps up also.
 

GK - Vorm? (wont happen btw, no chance he is dropping USA)
CB - Shawcross ? (wont happen btw, with Stones back, no chance he is dropping Jags)
LM - HANG ON...we dont need anymore attacking MF's lids. We have too many as it is!! Bryan is back, We have SuperKev, McGeady, Naisy, Piennar, Etoo, Ross all playing the Attacking MG role. Even bloody Atsu! He is not gonna buy another one!!

Na, cant see anyone coming in. The priority is not to lose any of our more marketable commodities. Seamus, Ross and SuperKev

don't get why everyone wants a left winger in specific, considering its Mirallas' best position? Surely we'd be better off trying to get a really good right winger for the other side, considering Mirallas is better cutting in on his right foot?
