Fully agreed. Maybe a signing like Aids, £1 million to slowly work to fitness for next season. I'd be shocked if we brought in anyone that would be important to this season.

Although would love to see us grab Perisic up, came back from his injury now and starting to play well again for Wolfsburg, will be interesting to see him against us in a couple of weeks time especially if Coleman starts for us

Centre back would be a waste of money in my eyes. We have Distin and Alcaraz as backup to see us through until we find out if Browning and Galloway are up to it.

We do need a replacement for Steven Pienaar sharpish though - not a traditional wide man but more of an inside forward. A trequartista false 13 inside out upside down, if you will.

Starting quality Keeper, Center back, and a top left winger are all needed mate if we want to push on, and probably another cb and winger for depth (Distins near the end, Alcaraz is made of glass and Atsu looks horribly short at this level)

Distin has no big role for next season so...if he leaves maybe new CB but if he stays Im not sure if bobby buys another CB?

The next four windows may be tricky to navigate.

Osman, Hibbert, Pienaar, Alcaraz, Kone and Distin are likely to be gone by then. Barry will be 35, and Gibson is always a day-to-day proposition.

In the meantime, Ledson, Kenny, Galloway, Dowell and Henen are going to be pushing for senior team integration. Martinez probably won't be able to count on them, but won't want to stunt their growth, either.

I'm curious to see how it's all managed.

Spurs have a really really weird centre mid fetish. And Delph doesn't seem enough of a tit to go and play for them lot, so I'm putting us as number #1, head of the pack.
We've been in for him before and we weren't half the side then that we now are
I'd say we're a good prospect for a good prospect
A team on the up against the red team on the slide

I'd agree and say that we're genuinely a better prospect to sign for than them lot. Also, I think if as a neutral I met both Rogers and Martinez I'd know exactly who I wanted to play under.

Signing a new CB is critical, not just because we want to finish as high as possible this season, but because Distin and Alcaraz are out of contract in the Summer, and neither of them are worth keeping on.

?

i reckon one will stay on at least and probably it would be wise to only go with one. not sure about distin staying on, just think martinez may not want to offer him another contract, but he showed last night he can still have a future, just needs to show more of that.

would keep both on pay as you play, but neither would accept that and probably rightly so.

i can see where you're coming from tbh, especially with browning and galloway seemingly forcing their way through for next season. i think we do definitely need a commanding centre back, but i don't see what martinez does and if both of those two are good enough in his opinion to come in now, then i'll trust him. personally, that would be too youthful (along with stones) for that position, but distin's on his last legs and alcaraz never being fit, neither worth keeping is a fair enough assesment. vlaar on a free would be a really good option imo.

he has a much higher chance of starting for liverpool than us though, look at their centre mid options! terrible
