Can you just imagine if Coleman and McCarthy both left in the January window? Jesus wept. I can live with Coleman leaving for £25 million minimum but McCarthy...please no. We need rid of Gibson, Distin, Osman and Pienaar and use whatever money we make from that to spend on quality bargains.

I'd rather not see Coleman leave, for the simple reason that we do not have anyone else in the squad who can play RB in the way Coleman does.

No-one is going to buy Osman, Pienaar or Distin due to their ages. Gibson might raise a few pennies, but you won't get anything north of £5m for him.

For me we have to think more about who we can weaken by snatching their players. Reid from West Ham would be of interest - he could go into a three-man rotation at CB with Jags and Stones, with Distin being the 4th CB and Browning looking to be phased in as Jagielka's successor ove rthe next 15 months. To make space in the squad I would sell Alcaraz.

Delph has been on EVERYONE'S radar for the last couple months, but he ticks a few boxes: we could dump Gibson to make the room in the squad. Barry would drop to 4th choice CM behind McCarthy, Besic and Delph. Ledson could be phased in over the next few months to phase Barry out.

Right wing is still a head-scratcher. I would love to see Deulofeu come back, but that is partially driven by sentiment. There must be other options out there.

Central Defence
Left Midfield

Do the teams we have played in the last 4 games have better players in those positions? There is always room for improvement, even at Chelsea and City. Right now the players aren't showing any heart or desire. We've got Eto'o ffs! He must look around and think wtf!
