Doesn't fill me full of confidence.

If he was bought after we purchased 3 or 4 good quality players I'd think, not a bad addition. But if he's going to be one of the 3 or 4 players I'll be upset
 
If the choice was between Redmond and not bother I would go for not bother. Decent enough player when it all falls right for him but he doesn't possess the consistency that we require.
 

If the general consensus is that the squad is good enough with the exception of Robles, Barry and McGeady then why do we need to recruit several new players as opposed to one, say a goalie? The more players we get in only leads to the problem of trying to get them to gel in a short time frame.
 
tbh though we looked so much better last season with delafeou's pace ripping teams and he lacked an end product. could just be as simple as we need someone with pace, but then, isn't that what atsu is? ha

the thing about redmond is he was available on a free not long back, i don't like getting players who could have been got for free not so long back - but that's just me.

We do need a player like Deulofeu and Redmond, just not necessarily either of those two at the moment? That said, if Deulofeu came back on a permanent deal for a transfer fee that was reasonable, I wouldn't mind as long as he was viewed as one for the future rather than some sort of instant messiah.
