seems we keep 'asking' about players without going further than that, specifically goalkeepers.

Lee Nicholls, Marshall, asked about Mark Sch who just went to Leicester, and Looks like if Jinky is right, the Mainz goalie.Any names mate?
The problem with having the money is that like Liverpool we would have a hard time attracting the players even if we could afford them.Big Nev just tweeted a column he wrote saying he'd consider selling Ross for 50m if we had top quality targets to replace him with. I wouldn't sell ross atm but it's an interesting read ( especially from a blues perspective and not the rags just trying to flog our players)
That's pretty much what every team does. Swansea will get their 30m, Celtic will get their 10m. Unless the player only has 6 months left you don't really have any bargaining power.Lee Nicholls, Marshall, asked about Mark Sch who just went to Leicester, and Looks like if Jinky is right, the Mainz goalie.
Wouldn't be surprised if we had 'asked' about Shaqiri too, we do this nearly every transfer window. And then we end up bottling it near the end and paying whatever the team asked.

Excluding the new stadium I don't think we need a full squad rebuild which is the only reason Ross would be sold for that price. We are two players short of a very quality starting 11, 2 players we can afford, it's just a question of can we sign them.
I think there's a good chance it's only the price we're haggling over. Mikey you might just get your wish.He strikes me as the sort of player Martinez would like
He'd walk right into our team, let's be honest

After a year of playing for us and Chelsea knew they could still hard ball us for that reason.Lukaku is a testament that we could.
Quel SurpriseSky Sports just announced Shaqiri has signed for Inter Milan on loan. Least that's one we can stop talking about.
BREAKING NEWS
Inter Milan have completed the signing of Bayern Munich's Xherdan Shaqiri on loan.
It helped bringing in a manager from that league. We got McCarthy due to Martinez knowing the player too. How many people realized he was as good as he was.For every Liverpool and Spurs there's a Southampton though. They reinvested their money really well in the summer.
It is a risk though. It probably would be beneficial long term but - I really want to see Ross fulfil his potential in an Everton shirt and not elsewhere.
It would mean Naismith not playing
