Big Nev just tweeted a column he wrote saying he'd consider selling Ross for 50m if we had top quality targets to replace him with. I wouldn't sell ross atm but it's an interesting read ( especially from a blues perspective and not the rags just trying to flog our players)

Quality over quantity. Average players are much easier to develop and replace than great players. Barkley isn't a great player, but many think he can become one. Not going to another like him very easy.

Just been reading back through the posts. I think I would cry if we signed Maloney and Cleverley or merely just one of them. Please Roberto leave them alone far better to save the money for summer than waste it on these.

1 CB, partnering stones, Keeper could be a good addition, but if we just gona get some average keeper and waste money then id say no, only if we going to get our future no1, a wing of superkevs class would be AMAZING, id love to have two wingers on the pitch of his level.

Would transform the team's game immediately; it's the easiest improvement, provided a new addition could bed in quickly enough

I agree unless we sell first

We have no one to sell that we don't want.
Our squad is old and the talent we have needs to stay.
Osman, McGeady,Barry , Howard,Robles,Pienaar,Hibbert,Alcaraz and Gibson are the only ones would be OK with leaving.
What would get for them? Combined - £10mil?

You could gamble on Jags and Baines and get another £10/15mil?

We need some serious investment

For every Liverpool and Spurs there's a Southampton though. They reinvested their money really well in the summer.

It is a risk though. It probably would be beneficial long term but - I really want to see Ross fulfil his potential in an Everton shirt and not elsewhere.

That ratio is at best 2:1 in favor of bad transfers

Liverpool is the latest in a series of clubs who have tried to bring Pjanic, and offered him an annual salary of € 4 million, but failed in attempt.

In a statement to the Italian media Pjanic said he would have preferred to stay at Roma .

Anyones thought on Aaron Lennon may be available ? First question would you take him ?
Second question, if you wouldnt take him, what would be a sensible price to take a chance on him, you know a price were you would say, i dont rate him but ill give him a chance we only paid £x million.

No better than McGeady so not for me.
We need players that will improve the starting eleven, not the bench.
