He trusted his staff and his scouts. Occasionally they messed up but i am pretty sure they also brought some of his best players there as well.

No different to Moyes signing Billy / Koldrup / Wright / Davis etc

Erm, you've contradicted yourself massively.

Ferguson rating Cleverley doesn't automatically mean he's a good player, because Ferguson, despite being arguably the best manager ever, has made a lot of undoutaby awful judgements on players. That's what I'm saying.

Tosic, Veron and Forlan went on to be decent players i thought. After 20-30 years in management, i think thats a pretty good record, if thats all you can come up with. Martinez signed, Alcaraz and robles, yet he brought Romelu and Mccarthy here too. There is no guarantees in football.

Absolutely no question. Read back, he said Ferguson rated him therefore Cleverley is good.

I really like David Marshall from his performances last season, so I'd love us to get Marshall in now to battle Howard until the end of the season. Then get rid of both Howard and Joel at the end of the year and get Karius in on a free.

Ok

Djemba-Djemba- Decent african midfielder, shone at confederations cup, did well but nothing spectacular as a squad player

Tosic- Rated where he is now, talk of them signing him back not that long ago.

Bebe- Bought blindly on the word of someone

Anderson- Decent player who has got fat and looks like he cant be arsed. Not managers fault

Roy Carrol- Solid back up keeper, no worse than simosen/gerrard/robles/mucha. actually top flight greek keeper

Veron- Very highly rated as potentially one of the best in the world one day when at parma? didnt adapt as well at united, or chelsea but was very very good.

Kleberson- wasnt that good no.

Diego Forlan- You mean one of the top strikers in spain for years? That forlan?
