I think players would pick WHU over us due to the combination of having a great season plus London location (possibly new flashy stadium, bigger wages too...)

I doubt that is true, although they have more potential to do so according to these Guardian figures from May of last year, which is a tad worrying really:

Everton: Turnover: 9th in league, £86m - Wage bill: 10th highest, £63m - Wages as proportion of turnover: 73%
West Ham: Turnover: 8th in league, £91m - Wage bill: 14th highest, £56m - Wages as proportion of turnover: 62%

HAHAHAHA. Completely laughable notion, what are you on mate? must be some good gear that.

Teams have to sell, thats part of football, do you want to keep hold of every fringe player until their contracts up, pay their wages even if they're unneeded? Hes said he's keeping our best assets, so what is their to worry about?

He said he woudnt sell our big assets in this window he didn't say anything about summer.

I hope your right mate don't want to sell our best players

Please desist in future mentioning that stadium, it pees me off no end. Them and City virtually handed a brand new stadium at minimal cost to both of them and ofr us we have to buy the land and find 50+ mill. Just not right. Please do not extend my post here just me having a rant. Back to transfers.

I think my reservations are that it is getting a bit tedious constantly picking up relegated players. Without having seen much of Marshall, I would want Roberto's recruiting to be more extensive.

so if villa get relegated, it would be a bad decision to buy benteke and delph?

I dont believe a word this jinkali says. Nothing he's ever said has come true. Has made so many inaccurate statements

well he did say schwarzer was off to leicester last week

I hope we get a CB in before worrying about a GK. GKs are really only as good as the blokes in front. Our CBs have been so poor, no wonder we are leaking goals because the GK is exposed because of bad play. There was something some where that 11 goals against was down to errors, I windre how that would convert to points if they had not happened. So for if we sign only one player, CB please to partner Stones, Oh and foff barton.

Cheers for that nice mature response,

Sky reporting dzeko available.for loan following bonys move and that stoke were lining up a bid, all I was asking is what would people think of us having a go, seeing as surely we'd be more attractive than stoke,

Liverpool eye £60m Ross Barkley and £23.5m Miralem Pjanic as Steven Gerrard replacements.

LOL do the papers not understand there are some things scouse footballers just won't do.

Sell Ross for £60m ? All day. Could buy a keeper, centre half, winger and attacking Midfielder.

Liverpool and Spurs are perfect examples of why this is a horrible idea.

It is safe to say generally speaking we spend our money wisely. I think we would sign three players in key areas, were as Spurs and Liverpool just stockpiled whatever player would come to them.
