No big player's leaving in January, this means 1 will likely be sold in Summer to fund more signing's then. Who are our most saleable player's Coleman 25 m McCarthy 30 Stones 30?? Barkley 50?? Of the 4 who would we must like sold (I know we shouldn't sell anyone before my head is bitten off) my money would be on Coleman, Rb not as an important position, We seem to have an abundance in the youth team Pennington and JJ Kenny. Looking back we maybe should have cashed in on Baines giving Garbutt's obvious class.

Keeper was alway's my priority but Joel has been impressive enough so far, Winger should be first priority now.

I wouldn't personally sell any of those four. Also, I don't understand why one is likely to be sold in the summer either. We still have a slim chance of making Europe again. Plus we also have a chance of winning the Europa league if everyone stays fit and we can strenghten a little. Champs League place for that. I know it's unlikely, but it is possible. We've as good a chance as any in it. I do agree that a winger is needed though. I also think we do need a keeper soonish. I have a funny feeling he'll go back to playing Tim once he's fit no matter how Joel plays. As for who... That's anyone's guess.
 
Nastasic option to buy loan apparently priced at 13m Euros. Given the wages he'll also demand, reportedly on ~70k at City, think that too expensive for an injury prone player who hasn't played much in the last 18 months. He was pretty poor when I saw him on City's preseason USA tour as well although that could have just been rustiness from lack of game time.

Still think a partnership of Stones/Jags will prove decent with Browning/Galloway as future cover and Alcaraz/Barry until they mature. I'd prefer to buy another central midfielder who can also play on the wing to replace Osman or Pienaar which would also give Barry more rest or time at CB. Perhaps two midfielders if Gibson's injuries look like they are going to continue although Ledson and Dowell may be earmarked for that role. Above all I'd like a winger.

Not going to get my hopes up we will sign anyone this window though, hopefully we don't lose anyone.
 
To surmise your honour....on the basis that Martinez is not to be trusted in his presser's then Everton will indeed sign David Marshall from Cardiff. Thus all the harbingers of doom will be appeased on one hand. On the other he also says Seamus n Eto'o will not be leaving so we can fully expect to see them at United and Sampdoria respectively. I rest my case.

I think you will see us address 1 or 2 positions per season . Summer was strikers, and next summer defense or attacking mid.

Non of us are entirely happy with this way, but we just dont have the money the top 4 do, unless we sell.....its like we are a bucket with a hole in it.
