The anti-Cleverly stuff is nuts.

Free, hardly ever injured with 'niggles' and other such crap. Tidy player. Does he get you off your seat? No, and he hardly ever will.

Is he more valuable to the squad over the next 4 years that Gibson/Barry/Osman. Yes to all 3.

As for Villa fans booing, they have bigger things to worry about than an on loan Midfielder.

I get it, you don't rate him.

He's not coming in Jan. He may come in the summer on mid-level wages.

Gibson? 100% better based on the fact hes generally available.

Osman? Not getting any younger and also finding it harder to recover from knocks.

Barry? Doesn't get any slower but as that's not his game it's not a massive issue. 34 next season, I doubt he will stay for his 3 yr contract.

Is he the missing piece of the jigsaw that will propel us towards European domination? No.

Is he a capable squad player in a position that WILL be found wanting in 12 months when injuries kick in. Yes.
