What is wrong with you lot?

Kaboul is a joke these days and Lennon just runs quickly until he picks up another injury. Plus their wages will take a huge chunk out of any cash.

I would have thought McCarthy's absence would only have strengthened our opinion of him, seeing as we've looked hopeless this season and his absence has, in my mind, been a huge reason why.

allsorts, but we havent got time for that now...transfer dealings business is on!

Would accept 10m plus Kaboul and Lennon tbh.

McCarthy is good, yes, but he doesn't create anything and Besic could arguably do as good a job. We don't need the two of them playing together as it's too defensive, so the money could go on a more creative midfielder.

Rather keep him like.

Last 13 games with mcarthy 7 wins
Last 13 games without mcarthy 1 win

2 players we don't need minus 1 we definitely need. That would be complete suicide.

We should be offering them Alcaraz and McGeady + 5m for Dembele or something.

McCarthy is by far our key player. He gives us all the drive in midfield. Besic is much better in the 'Barry' role.

Lol, on the bbc site now:

McCarthy to Tottenham?
Football gossip

Is it just us, or does the transfer window seem quite relaxed and slow-paced this month?

Even the tabloids seem to be struggling to work themselves into a lather at the moment, although the Express are trying gamely with their suggestion that Tottenham hope to beat Manchester United and Arsenal to the £20m signing of Everton's 24-year-old Irish midfielder James McCarthy.

Mauricio Pochettino is apparently pondering a player-plus-cash deal involving defender Younes Kaboul or winger Aaron Lennon.

Why bother even discussing it? Isn't it just the same deal they were supposed to be offering us a couple days ago for Miralles, but with Kaboul thrown in too?! :o

Totally agree we need McCarthy fully fit & back, mate txt me & said against West Brom was the 15th time we had been without McCarthy this season & had only won 1, drawn 7 & lost 7 compared to the 16 games he's either started or taken part we've won 7, drawn 5 & lost 4
