There's that many contradicting stories you wouldn't know which one to believe?! I've seen the above, I've since seen were preparing a £3m bid and also that Dnipro have told us we're wasting our time even being in for Konoplyanka as he's got his mind set on going to Spurs for free in the summer?!

So we'll see? I'd like us to genuinely be in for him as he's the type of player we need.

But I don't think things will happen till Martinez & the first team are back and Eto'o as gone so his wages are freed up for a signing or 2?!

Rolando back on the buzzboards tonight:

Everton are looking to sure up their leaky defence with the signing of Portuguese defender Rolando, according to reports from ESPN.

The 29-year old has rejected renewed contract offers at his current club Porto and because of that he has been dropped from the first team.

The Daily Mail recently reported that the likes of Sunderland, Aston Villa and West Brom were Premier League sides interested in signing the defender who has represented his country 19 times.

I'd have expected most people realised these days that Deadline Day is on Sky Sports for a reason and put two and two together and understood why nothing happens until the last few hours....it generates viewing figures for the corporation that controls football.

So, chill and let's wait until late night on the last day before dissing everyone at the Club.

Yeah, seen that. Contract runs out in summer and would be a good replacement for Distin next season.

Says there his deal runs out next year but I've read elsewhere that it runs out this summer. On a free or cheap deal he'd be a decent signing.

Juve tried signing him this month but the deal fell through. They have some good players and some decent CB's so if he's good enough for them he definitely is us!

A portugese centre half called Rolando???

If he comes I reckon it'll be panic stations every time he gets the ball. He's going to be a David Luiz character isn't he? I can just see it now.

I hope we get him.

Eto'o parading around in Sampdoria garb with that sly smirk is doing my nut in. Glad Everton are on the wind up by messing up some paperwork.

Mind, they will drag it out till deadline day and then say, We had no time to do any deals.
