He's wanted a replacement for Pienaar since the summer and was looking for one on deadline day, Greg OK said so at the time. But the right player didn't come along so he was happy to go with Pienaar for this season.

I'm of the great belief that Pienaar basically dying has been one of the greatest contributing factors to this season.
 
Pienaar was MOTM on the opening day, and by a mile, pound for pound the best performance of an Everton payer this season, Every time he got the ball he looked dangerous, creative and active. I think he went off injured during that game???Ifso we were very poor thereafter.
 

Sinclair's move to Villa is back in the balance according to a few Villa journos that I know. I mean i'm trying not to put two and two together but...

There has been good replacements available plus Pienaar was poor all last season. Whatever the reason and I suspect only Martinez knows its wrong.

Totally agree. I was in a pub in Leicester after that and their fans were full of praise for him. Best player on the park and all that.

I wonder if his dad saying he is going to stay till the end of the season, is because he is a free agent in the summer and someone has done a moody deal with him by offering him a few million signing on fee in the summer so they don't have to pay the rumoured £7m Dnipro want now.
