That was/is his biggest strength undoubtedly. His ability to identify and sign quality players on low fees was what kept us in higher league positions than our lack of financial support from the board warranted.
Whilst this board are still in place, the lack of finance is always going to be a problem, so the only way we can keep in and around the European spots will be down to whether the current manager is just a savy in the transfer market.
I'll say this then...Moyes definitely has an eye for talent far superior than the current Manager it seems
Fascinating business model--scout young, talented players that you can acquire are reasonable fees. Sell them later to clubs after they've developed into budding stars, for a reasonable profit. Finance the club by selling players that don't fit into the future of the squad. Are there any clubs in England that do this on a regular basis?
Great eye though...prefer all the current players and Wigan FC we always seem to be linked with? If 10% of it is even true, I am stunned.T
The same moyes who bottled the wilfred bony signing at the 11th hour coz he wasnt sure
The same moyes who blew the craig bellamy deal just before he was about to sign
They are all open to feck ups...
As in Berbatov?!Oh god the berb. Please be true.
should just be a personnel scout or something instead of a manager. he's decent but i feel like his talent spotting is by far his biggest strengthAnd Dzeko
