You usually talk a lot of sense Legs, but I don't think that would be a good idea. Barry is looking slow and a bit bereft of confidence, plunging him into the centre half role would be a ropey option at best.

Ha, perhaps it is a crazy idea - I've just read 50+ pages of a transfer thread in one go to catch up on what I missed whilst asleep so my sanity could fairly be questioned!

But think Barry has come back into form recently and earlier in the season when he played there imo he was better than Distin. Overall I'd prefer to keep Distin as long as he's not being a disruptive influence.

Each to their own but I just think he has that bit of Deulofeu about him - quick, direct, skillful and, most importantly, young.

Is there any particular reason why West Ham haven't offered Reid a new contract? Havent seen that much of him TBH, but he's surely a better option than Distin is all day long.

he's told them he wants to see out the rest of his contract then move away.
I think Arsenal have been sniffing around so I'm guessing he's just trying to upgrade.
