You'll get nowt for Distin and Pienaar given their ages. Better to keep them as depth, as both can still do a job.

Cleverly is mince. Why him instead of Delph?

Kjaer is an interesting one. In the first Lille game he looked very, very good. In the second one he was invisible. I wouldn't be keen to make a call on him without watching some more footage of Lille.
 

I hope we sign perisic have always liked him, think he would be incredible for us, problem is he's properly in form for Wolfsburg at the moment and with them being second in the budesliga I highly doubt they would want to sell in January. Get a loan deal for Salah in January and go all in for perisic in the summer!

Why would he leave a team that has a very very good chance of CL football for us
 
Would love for us to sign Fabian Delph. Always liked Gibson, but starting to have major doubts if his body will ever be physical up to the intensity of the Premier League. Stones will be back soon, so that eases the need for a new cb. That leaves the most important position open to be looked at. Left winger/playmaker. That Brozovic could be an option. Only going by what I read here. Never heard of him before today. Perisic would also be great, but can't see him leave Wolfsburg atm.

we've got to the stage where alcaraz and gibson need to be 5th choices. they can't be 1st choice backup purely because of their injury records. they can still do good jobs though.

possibly, but he's got another couple of years yet - needs to go out on loan and get a feel of league football i think. it's a bit of an experienced player needed position to have a kid as first choice backup.

gibson should be on pay as you play anyway given his injury record.

Agreed. I'd rather flog Gibbo to a struggling team e.g. QPR who would give us say £6m for him, and get in Delph for free. Delph is a super player, he would improve us hugely. Him, Milner and Reid all on frees would be my targets. Very rarely do we snap up more than one freebie at a time though.

Milner will sign a new deal at City or move to Arsenal next year. Would love him in our team but we wouldn't be able to afford his wages either I reckon. Delph is a good player but it's doubtful Villa would sell. Reid is class but I think if he moves in Jan it will be to Arsenal
