CRIMHEAD
Player Valuation: £40m
Don't see him being an improvement over Walcott honestly. In the future maybe.Would be happy with Bowen but I suspect his price would be prohibitive for what is still effectively a punt.

It's a stupid view, how are we ever going to show any progress without European football, there's little to no chance of us getting into the champions League in the next couple of years so why wouldn't we aspire to play in the Europa, because it's a competition we could have a good run in if it's managed well and we have a good squad in place. More chances of winning anything is a bonus to me
£50m for Callum Wilson makes me sad.
It's an English view, the Europa is quite popular around Europe and it's only English fans that seem to see it as a "mill stone". It's a simple matter of growing at a good rate. I don't see us outdoing City, Spurs, RS and United/Chelsea (seeing the way United have already improved without Jose over them) in the next 1-2 years, unless it's in some Leicester type luck (which I would absolutely give a kidney for). But I do see us becoming a solid contender for the top 6 and I could see us having a very good run in the Europa under Silva. Common sense would dictate that we take whatever European competition we could get and take it seriously instead of taking it as a burden to progressIt's my view mate, hardly stupid. Clearly made no progress after last season in Europa. You Clearly are the one lacking ambition stating we've no chance of Champs league. At no point did I say we weren't good enough, merely stating its a mill stone round our neck. We shouldve walked our Europa group last season, even with Unsy in charge. Agreed its catch 22. Want to get established but also wanna stay competitive domestically. One usually gives. Common sense, pragmatic, hardly stupid.
Callum Wilson: £50m lollollollollollolThe club could learn from you Eggs. Never fail to deliver. Many thanks.
Sorry replied to the wrong comment, but the point still stands.Callum Wilson: £50m lollollollollollol
think that maybe debatable, Rondon is probably more effective than any of our strikersNewcastle
Yeah fair enough, I worded it badly. I suppose I mean find someone we can develop and who isn't as much of a price risk. Good player and has done well to come back but he stinks of a Bolasie type over priced risk who could easily get injured again for me.While I agree entirely that £50m would be ludicrous and we wouldn't pay it, the 'find someone younger and hungrier' shout is a bit odd.
Wilson is 26, and pretty sure his desire (to come back from two successive career-threatening injuries) can't really be questioned.
We won't go for him though. As Brands has said, we probably won't go for anyone in Jan.
Yes I would be amazed, doesn’t look a Brands & Silva. Player to me.Would be shocked if we went for Wilson tbh. Sounds lazy paper talk.
Do we really think anyone is going to pay 50M for him?Yes I would be amazed, doesn’t look a Brands & Silva. Player to me.
Add in cost, his injuries and he’s never been prolific.
