I'd say there's 9 teams: RS, Spuds, Citeh, Chelski, UTD, Arse, Leicester, Bournemouth, Hammers - that have more than 1 striker who is better than all of our options.

Had a mini conflab with the lads I sit around in the Park End during the second half ....

We all settled on Mitrovic as the guy who ‘could’ improve us currently & might be obtainable at a fee not completely out of this world.

He might not be that genuine world class forward we all desperately want but he’d be a significant upgrade on what we have.

Fulham in a relegation battle won't sell their top scorer.

I fully don’t expect a signing but I also think a loan deal for Batshuayi would be a win win situation with no risk.

Im sure we could get away with paying an even smaller portion of his wages since Chelsea weren’t planning to pay all of it in the first place

Yes but you are definitely wrong MG. As proven today with our best attacker stuck out on the left while Tosun and DCL did everything they could to avoid getting into the 6 yard area.

He's excellent. Would be a seriously good signing.

On a different not it's hilarious reading all the people who think we need a target man to play better. If that's how we plan on playing we might as well commit ourselves to never winning anything ever again. Which teams are playing a giant grock up top and winning things?

We have a player in Richarlison who is a modern day forward in that he links decently and knows how to get shots away from dangerous areas. We need to find a way to take advantage of that and create a decent supply of chances from wide more than we need to sign someone else who may only be a slight improvement on Richarlison. All that said I would still go for Jovic but I'm not sold on Richarlison wide so not sure how that would work.

On loan from Benfica. God knows how they can get him here in January. Quite possibly can't because of the 3 club rule but yeah.
