if it is west ham, they've been really weird. Apparently as soon as they got pellegrini they said they wouldn't give him much funds and he kicked up a fuss. Now they're signing about 20 players and throwing massive wages AOTS. They're going to have a massive wage bill and not much return. I mean just think of how much wages carroll and wilshere alone are going to suck out of their club. Then nasri will bleed them dry in a few months when he get's bored. Yarmolenko with a serious injury straight away, will be on big wages too. Is arnautovic going to get paid loads to sulk?

They'll have one of the biggest wage bills in the league but no european football, nevermind champions league football to pay for it.

EDIT: Lanzini too on the crocked but wages list.

That description is basically us with the names of players changed

But pope isn't an upgrade on Pickford. He's had an iffy season, but that doesn't mean he's worse than pope. We have loads of money, we clearly have that luxury of not having to sell because we have so many players we could do with selling.

All of the recent noises about selling players before we can buy... They don't mean "sell players in our first XI".
I don't think that we have a player that I wouldn't sell if the right money was offered and a decent replacement was arranged. I'd be upset to see some go, like Digne, Richarlison, Gomes (if we get round to buying him) and even Pickford, but none of them are irreplaceable. Looking across the park at the rs - they got rid of Sewer rat and Coutinho and keep on going and more than arguably, they were more important to them than most of our players are to us.

....it’s day 23 of the transfer window and here’s what’s being reported about the Toffees this Wednesday morning;

- According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Crystal Palace are lining up a shock move to bring Everton winger, Yannick Bolasie, back to the club after he became available on Monday. Palace are in the market for a winger with Wilfried Zaha playing predominantly as a central striker.

- The Liverpool Echo report Everton are yet to receive a bid from PSG for midfielder, Idrissa Gueye. The Mirror say Everton will accept an offer of £40m for the 29 year old to fund a bid for a new striker.

- TalkSport’s Jim White claims Everton are still trying to sign Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi, before this transfer window shuts.

- Calciomercato.it say Everton Director of Football, Marcel Brands, has confirmed the Toffees will not be signing Edin Dzeko in this window.
We
instant and permanent lol

Dortmund after Zaha, hopefully Palace are daft enough to spend some on bolasie as replacement
Surely Bolasie has a transfer lined up. It would be absolutely mental and he would be completely deluded to think he can cut short a way-less-than-impressive stint at Championship Aston Villa to return to Everton and mix it up with the first team - it was even made clear to him by the manager that he's not wanted in the summer!

So, please Lord, if you're out there, let him be gone.

u wot, u wot, u wot u wot u wot!

I've heard of Pope, lozano and Doucoure and then I'm lost

If (IF) we were to do any deals this month with non UK clubs it was always gonna be late in the month, the pound has strengthened by 3.27% against the Euro in the last month, that’s a lot when your working with big transfer fee’s, it’s gained 1% in the last two days and hopefully will continue to as the month goes on.

Fees are paid over a couple of years so that’s irrelevant

....it’s the 24th day of this January transfer window, which means we have just one week left. Here’s Thursday morning’s Toffee transfer rumours;

- Football London report Crystal Palace are 5/2 favourites to sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun this month after a stream of bets on the move.

- The Mirror says Everton may have beaten off big money interest in midfielder, Idrissa Gueye, after PSG turned their attention to Argentinian international Leandro Paredes. The 24 year old is expected to move for £35m from Zenit St Petersburg. The Liverpool Echo, however, suggest PSG are still interested in Gueye.

- La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, are looking to send 23 year old winger, Gelson Martins, on loan and according to Chronicle: Everton, Arsenal and Newcastle are battling for his signature. The player is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and it is believed Newcastle are in the driving seat to acquire him.
Roumours getting thinner and thinner, I feel there won’t be any arrivals or more importantly departures.
