I remember him a few years ago at Sheffield Utd, he was very good in that league and he's took time to come through at Hull, you can definitely see how he's developed. I'm just not sure whether he's a top half of the PL centre half.

I think eventually the days of ball-playing defenders being the prime targets will ease off and steady, reliable, tough CB's will return. People like Williams, Maguire, Keane, Gibson, Wes Morgan, Huth etc. have their place in the decent teams. Hell Godin, Barzagli etc. aren't that good on the ball.

We're one Williams injury away from a defensive nightmare. If Jags is off then Ivanovic on a free makes sense in the short term. Even with Jags, as it stands we play 3 at the back and have four CBS in the squad (one of which is teenager Holgate who is also the cover for RB). I don't know why Galloway isn't being recalled to be honest.
They won't let us recall him from what I have been reading

...the money being paid for some of these fellas they should be able to defend and play. For me, I love the traditional Italian defenders who all have proper defensive quality but can play as well.

Actual defenders are what I like with enough quality on the ball. As much as Stones can be entertaining I much prefer to see some lower league defenders marshalling a defense.

I'm not saying he was amazing on the field. I just liked how he would mess with opponents and try and get in their heads (Reminds me of Chris Chelios who is a former hockey player I liked) He also did A LOT for the Everton community and I loved that about him too

Safe to say I don't miss him at all.

I reckon a lot of players do a lot of things for charity but we don't hear about it. And don't need to hear about it either.

I get that, I just remember listening to a Men in Blazers episode with him on it and they were asking him about something he was doing and I was just floored with how much he did and how much he cares
