anyone know the point of signing a young german lad for 4 months for u23s?
Probably to give everyone involved a chance to see if it would be worth splashing the cash on the lad.anyone know the point of signing a young german lad for 4 months for u23s?
Indeed. Moving them on , sadly in the case of Oviedo as I like him, won't be a loss that we we need to replace in January . Come summer we will then have a clearer idea if their three potential like for like replacements, Calvert-Lewin, Walsh and Connolly have proved themselves . And if not we hopefully have money to spend and don't need to be shopping in the cheap, out of contract, past their best Discount Store.I'd be happy to lose those 3 with no ins. I'd be overjoyed to lose them and have them replaced with actual footballers.
Hopefully to sign him permanently if he's as good as he sounds he could be.
be grateful, we used to pick up players like Scott Spencer.

I am sure it has been said but, Virgil out for 3 months.
Puts that one to bed.
I heard he doesnt even practice them any more. Plus his corners have never been that good imo and even his free kick delivery from wide area's was at best, inconsistent. Payet's dead ball play was key to West Ham last season and thats the sort of specialism that will help break down packed defences. We have a dead ball "expert". Baines has been excellent at free kicks throughout his career but hasn't necessarily done it last couple of seasons. Perhaps Ron can get him back on it.
