January Transfer Thread 2017

We've been outrun in every game but 1 this season. The players are lazy. Need a purging of the squad or at least more new faces to pressure the old ones. CM should be priority 1. Then a new partner for Williams at the back.

We dont need to be throwing £40m about for 1 player to improve the team, look at Gueye?

I don't trust the club to back the manager but if they do there better not be any more overpriced dross like bolasie or overrated pensioners like Williams. Short termism which is leaving us looking a mess.

Really hope Steve Walsh has the new signings already lined up pre start of the transfer window so we are not scrambling around looking for panic buys come the end.

Nit optimistic though....

Absolutely.

But I want better use of funds. Certainly no players here for a payday a la Williams.

We replaced John Stones with Ashley Williams and lots were buzzing. Any wonder we are as dross as we are.

I'm not panicked at all. I recognise we are in for a long haul of rebuilding. So best to roll up our sleeves in the meantime and make sure we have a plan to start working our way back.

If Depay is done then probably Strootman (1.5 year left in his contract) and the Napoli Italian striker and we are done. Will be v surprised to sign more than 3 in January.
